Japanese schoolgirl told to choose country or family

The Japanese government gave a 13-year-old schoolgirl the choice between leaving Japan with her parents, who were being deported, or with staying in Japan. She chose Japan.

The story estimates 500 other such cases in Japan with so called families of blended ctizenship and immigration status. I estimate that Oklahoma City’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office sees a similar number each year thorugh enforcement activity.
