The Los Angeles Times analyzed the progress toward immigration reform by the Obama administration.
I think that Obama has assigned this important task to Secretary Janet Napolitano of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. I think he wants some distance from the issue despite his wanting legitimate changes. I do not know if this approach will work. However, I do note a couple of things: 1) She is on board with the President’s goals unlike officials in the Bush administration who out and out undercut the authority of their boss; 2) She is far smarter than her predecessor.
